TDP To Win In Andhra Pradesh ?
TDP To Win In Andhra Pradesh ? The Telangana movement led to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into two states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The state of Andhra Pradesh, with 42 MPs was left with only 25 MP’s to be sent to lower house of the Parliament. Apart from this, state was hit by several economic crisis, the most important being the loss of Capital city Hyderabad which led to the loss of important IT and pharma companies. The people of Andhra Pradesh thereby needed a leader who could harbor the state out of this economic crisis. The people of Andhra Pradesh were no where in mood to support the then UPA government because they felt that the Congress led UPA government was the reason for all the sufferings the state was facing. Thus, the state saw hope in the leadership of Narendra Modi and they unanimously supported Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP, then an ally of NDA, for both centre and state governance.
The 2014 election turned out to be a fruitful election for Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP. The party won 15 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats and along with it, Naidu’s TDP swept the 175 members Andhra Assembly by winning 107 seats. Before the election Naidu promised certain schemes for the people of Andhra Pradesh. Waiver of farmers’ crop loans, enhancing of old age pensions from Rs 250 to Rs 1,000, waiver of loans taken by groups for the development of women and children in rural areas (DWCRA) were some of the schemes promised by Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP and along with it BJP, the then ally of TDP in Andhra Pradesh also promised 10 years special category status to Andhra Pradesh. However four years down the line when BJP government at the centre was unable to deliver on its promise of Special Status to the state of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP walked out of alliance with BJP, at Centre as well state.
Development Schemes by Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP
After the bifurcation, the state of Andhra Pradesh shared the same capital with Telangana. However in search of new capital for the state, the state government in September 2014 decided to develop Vijayawada as new capital city for the state. Thus on 22nd October 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for development of new capital at Vijayawada. Initially acquiring of land from farmers became the most difficult task for the state government, CM Naidu’s government introduced a land pooling scheme to acquire land from the farmers. The scheme gradually became successful and the state government was able to acquire the required land for the Capital Development
Polavaram Project, is an under construction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the West Godavari District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. In 1980, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh T. Anjaiah laid the foundation stone for the project. However the project did not see any light of development for almost three decades. It was the Chandrababu Naidu’s government that the work on the project saw some development. The project has been accorded national project status by the Union Government of India and will be the last to be accorded the status.

2019 Lok Sabha Equation
Andhra Pradesh politics has always been about social programmes and freebies. This time the battle in Andhra Pradesh is a four cornered fight. The ruling TDP is up against Jagan Reddy’s YSR Congress, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena and BJP. Jagan Reddy’s YSR Congress has been able to attract people against Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP. Jagaan blamed Naidu of deceiving people of Andhra Pradesh on the subject of Special Status for the state. On the other hand TDP have projected Jagan Reddy to be “Corruption King”. Who will win this cat-fight will be decided on 23rd May. In the mean time let us analyse few predictions on Andhra Pradesh election.
First we analyse few tweets with respect to the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Election. These tweets have been liked and retweeted most. However we do not endorse these tweets.
After analyzing the various opinions relating to Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha election, it is clear that Jagan Mohan Reddy will be the biggest gainer out of Centre-state tussle or in other words Modi-Naidu fight. YSR congress is heading towards landslide victory in Andhra Pradesh while the political ambition of both Mr. Naidu and Pawan Kalyan seems to have been completed decimated. However we must wait to see TDP To Win In Andhra Pradesh or not?
TDP: 105-113 YSRCP: 54-65 JanaSena: 5-8 BJP: 0 Others: 0
TDP: 15-18 YSRCP: 5-8 JanaSena: 0-1 BJP: 0 Others: 0
In Crowd’s Verdict, with respect to assembly election of Andra Pradesh, Jagan Reddy’s YSR Congress seems to have a lead over Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP.
Andhra Pradesh election result will decide the future the state. Chandrababu Naidu’s national ambition is also at stake in this election where as Jagan Reddy, if he is able to win good number of seats in Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha election, he may, infact go on to become the Kingmaker in Delhi.
