Music Composer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid Duo Dead
Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid Khan duo no more. It is believed that the music composer was infected with Coronovirus. If true, Wajid Khan will be the first celebrity death due to Coronavirus in India.
The composer was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai and was reportedly on ventilator. The sad news of his death was confirmed on Social media. Bollywood starts soon started expressing their grief on Twitter. Music composer Salim Merchant tweeted, “Devastated with the news of the passing away of my brother Wajid of Sajid-Wajid fame. May Allah give strength to the family. Safe travels bro @wajidkhan7 you’ve gone too soon. It’s a huge loss to our fraternity. I’m shocked and broken. Inna Lillahi wa Inna ilayhi raji’un”
Soon Bombay Times confirmed the news of passing away of the music composer on their official twitter account.
It is believed that Wajid Khan has had some health issues in recent days. He was last seen at the music launch of Salman Khan’s Dabanng 3.
The cause of his death is yet to be determined. He has been suffering from kidney problems for the past few years but it is believed that he may have contacted with Coronavirus which ultimately led to his death.
Sajid-Wajid duo has been one of the most renowned music composers in India. The duo is famous for their excellent music for movies like Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Dabanng 3, etc. Recently the duo composed music for Salman Khan’s song Bhai Bhai and Pyar Karona which was dedicated to current Coronavirus crisis.
Mumbai is worst affected city in India by Coronavirus. Mumbai alone has registered over 39,000 Coronavirus positive cases which is more than any state in India. If confirmed, Wajid Khan may be the first celebrity casualty of Coronavirus in India. It must be remembered that from 1st June, most the Indian states including Maharashtra is relaxing norms for the Lockdown which started on 25th March.
