Coronavirus News Tracker : New Zealand extends Coronavirus lockdown
New Zealand was one of those countries which declared itself to be Coronavirus free. However, with over 100 days without any positive cases of Coronavirus, the virus returned and since then the city of Auckland has been put under lockdown and General election has been postponed. Around 150 people have been found positive for virus part of the cluster that originated in Auckland.
The lockdown in Auckland, the largest city of New Zealand was imposed on August 11 and now it had been extended to the end of this week.
Coronavirus News Tracker : Cases in Italy rise once Again
Coronavirus cases in Italy is rising once again. On Sunday 1209 new cases were reported in the country. It must be remembered that Italy is the worst hit country by Coronavirus in Europe. Over 35,000 people have already succumbed to virus in Italy. Over 259K cases have been reported in country till date.
The Italian government is however, not considering new lockdown to curb coronavirus infections.

US government on Sunday authorized doctors to use blood plasma from recovered coronavirus patients as a treatment. Donald Trump told reporters that the plasma therapy shows an incredible rate of success and will save countless lives. It must be noted that plasma treatment is already being used by different countries around the world including India.
United States is the worst affected country in the world with Coronavirus. As of now, over 5.7 million people have been infected with virus in USA and over 1,76,000 people have already lost their lives due to coronavirus.
Coronavirus News Tracker : SP Balasubrahmanyam tests negative for coronavirus
Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam had tested positive for COVID-19 on August 5 was admitted to MGM Healthcare, Chennai. He condition was considered to be critical and was on ventilator support in the ICU.
Today his son SP Charan said that SP Balasubrahmanyam has tested negative for coronavirus and is now stable.

India’s Coronavirus recovery rate rises to 75.27% and fatalities dipped to 1.85%. As of now India has reported 31,10,761 confirmed cases of Coronavirus. 23,38,899 cases have already recovered while 7,13,593 cases as active in the country as of now.
India has reported 57,715 deaths due to coronavirus as of 23rd August. Maharashtra is still the worst affected state due to coronavirus. The state has reported over 6.8 lakh cases as of now. Maharashtra is followed by Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
