New Plane for PM Modi : Prime Minister of India will be soon flying in a new Air India One. The new aircraft is reported to be equipped with advanced defence and communication systems. The new plane (Air India One) Boeing 777-300ERs which will be used to fly VVIPs including Prime minister, President, and Vice- President of India.

The the first aircraft will land next week, the second will arrive by the end of this year. As of now Prime Minister of India as well as President and Vice President fly in Boeing 747 jets with some basic modifications which is also used for the general public.

New Plane for PM Modi : What Advanced Technology will the Plane have?

The new plane for PM Modi will be equipped with most sophisticated technology, military defence systems. The cabin will be reconfigured to include Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) and Self-Protection Suites (SPS). The plane is also expected to have Advanced Electronic Warfare Suites to protect the aircraft from any kind of attack from surface-to-air.

The aircraft Boeing 777-300 can fly for 17 hours without refueling. The Boeing 747 that is being used as of now can fly 10 hours without refueling.

The new Aircraft will be received as Air India One but will be changed to Air Force One as it will be operated by Indian Air Force.

From US President to Chinese Premier, they all have been using a dedicated Air Plane for the country’s head since many years. US President uses  Boeing 747-200B under the tag of Air Force One. The plane is considered to be one of the most advanced air planes in the world. Chinese Premier uses a Boeing 747-400 to fly. Russian President flies in IL-96-300PU jet equipped with advanced technology. It is reported that the plane is equipped with a spacious office and a gym too.

It must be noted that the two VVIP Boeing planes is part of 2006 deal of 68 planes with Boeing. Two of the planes out of the 68 planes have been kept aside exclusively for the VVIP. In February 2019, the US agreed to sell the two defence systems to India which is reported to be equipped in the these two planes.

Around 40-44 pilots are been trained to operate the VVIPs plane in India.
