UP Corona : Lucknow worst affected but better than most districts
UP Corona : Uttar Pradesh is now the sixth worst hit state in India now. Just one spot behind Delhi, Uttar Pradesh now has around 1,08,974 cases. The cases in the states are also increasing by a huge percentage of 4.9%. The fatality rate in the state is 1.8%. As many as 1918 people have died of the virus in the state.
Uttar Pradesh has significantly ramped up its testing. The state which was once heavily criticized for its meager sample testing count per day, is now conducting more than 1 lakh tests a day. In totality, as many as 27,97,687 samples have been tested until now.

Uttar Pradesh’s fatality rate is lower than 2%, hence the relatively lower number of deaths in the state. The maximum deaths have occurred in Kanpur Nagar.

Uttar Pradesh has significantly lower case per million count than that of India as whole, which is 1519.6. In Uttar Pradesh, there are 484.4 cases per million population. On the bright side, the state has more recoveries than active cases. There are 43,654 active cases in the state, which is 40.1% cases. The recovery rate of the state is 58.2%. Around 63,402 people have recovered from the illness. With increase in testing number the cases are rising however, Uttar Pradesh with over 20 crore population is performing better than most of the states in India.
