One More Celebrity Fails to Handle Financial Pressure- Commits Suicide

Aadat Se Majboor and Kuldeepak fame, TV actor Manmeet Grewal committed suicide after struggling with finance and limited growth opportunity during the lockdown. The thirty-two-year-old actor died on Friday, after hanging himself in his Kharghar home he shared with his wife. Manjit singh Rajput, who is a family friend and producer stated that the actor was unable to secure a steady earning amidst the lockdown.

TV star Kushal Punjabi committed suicide in 2019. The 37-year-old actor who rose to fame by appearing in famous Bollywood films ‘Lakshya’, ‘Andaz’ and ‘Kaal’, was found hanging at his Mumbai residence on December 27. He was also a part of popular TV show ‘ishq mein marjawan’ The actor left a one-and-a-half-page suicide note, in which he stated that nobody should be held responsible for his death. In his letter, he also declared that 50 per cent of his property should be distributed equally among his parents and sister, while the remaining 50 per cent be given to his three-year-old son Kian.

Another famous TV celebrity, ‘Dil Toh Happy Hain Ji’ fame Sejal Sharma, committed suicide in January. The twenty-five-year-old actress hanged herself to death in her Mumbai flat. Her suicide note stated that she took this drastic decision on account of personal reasons.

The celebrity lifestyle comes with it perks and fame, but it can be too much to handle at times too. The national lockdown has taken quite a toll on everyone, financially and emotionally. The limited prospects during the testing times have put us into a state of oblivion. Giving up life is the final solution but with growing fame lifestyle of a celebrity also changes. In turn it becomes very difficult for them adapt to simple lifestyle if they are out of work for few months. In the end the mental pressure that is created becomes out of control and in turn many quit their life just to relieve themselves from these pressures.
