Saints vs Washington Prediction and Odds: Recent Form
Both the teams were expected to fulfill their potential this season but they haven’t been consistent since the start of this season.
Washington has all the elements to be defensively superior but they are far from behind as they are giving up 31.5 points per game in this campaign. They are also currently 1-3 against the spread.
Fabian Moreau hasn’t been a regular for Washington. He was involved in 100 snaps in 2020 but to everyone’s surprise, he wasn’t included in the 2021 roster.
Following his major interception which led to their win against Philadelphia, he was again involved against the Falcons. Jon Bostic’s failure was Moreau’s gain. He pulled back JD McKissic forcing a punt.
Despite not being a supporter’s favorite Bostic has managed to keep his place in the starting lineup. He doesn’t seem to be utilized efficiently in the 4-3 system. Rather he would be a brilliant fit in the 3-4 defence.
Bostic is not very big in size and doesn’t have the pace to match up but he is a tricky player and has been using his skills very effectively.
Washington played a gamble by introducing Jamin Davis but the gamble hasn’t paid off. His induction might give the team a fruitful result in the future but he is clearly not the ideal candidate for the big games.
New Orleans must work on their offense. Jameis Winston did manage to provide some early push to the offense but it hasn’t clicked since then. Daniel Jone which led to their defeat in the last match. They surrendered 400 yards to They are standing 2-2 against the spread and need to flex their muscle against a mighty Washington.
Prior to their loss against New York, the Saints had a very decent record in October. After 2016 October they hadn’t lost 15 matches in this specific month and now their October jinx has been broken.
They also have a considerably good defensive setup. They have allowed only 3.11 yards per play on average and are ranked third when it comes to interceptions.
