Chinese Apps Banned : After 59 Apps now 47 more Apps Banned
Chinese Apps Banned : The Government of India reported to have banned more Chinese apps. It is reported that around 47 more Chinese apps have been banned by Government. This move comes after recent banning of 59 Apps from China which included Tiktok, ShareIt, Club Factory, etc.
No official statement has been issued by the Government so far however as per reports Chinese apps banned by the Government acted as a copy of previously banned 59 apps. These apps too possessed a security and privacy threat.
Besides these apps, there are reports of more than 250 Chinese apps under the radar of Government of India. The news of banning 47 more apps was reported by DD news through its official twitter handle. The tweet read ” Govt. bans 47 such apps which are clones of those #apps that have already been banned earlier”
Since Galwan Clash where India lost 20 of its brave hearts, Government of India had made up its mind to hurt China militarily and diplomatically. India recently issued an order of banning any country sharing land boundary with India from participating in Government contracts. India it determined to hurt China both politically and economically.
The earlier ban was imposed on popular apps including TikTok, SHAREit, UC Browser, Helo, and WeChat, among others. The government had ordered telcos to block access to all those apps as well as their related websites shortly after announcing the decision publicly through a press release. The apps banned by Government today is yet to named. An official release of apps banned is expected to be released by Government of India by today evening.
