Kerala has registered a very small number of deaths due to Coronavirus. As of today 258 people died due to Coronavirus in Kerala, which takes the fatality ratio to as low as 0.4%.
In Gujarat as of today, 2945 people have succumbed to the virus. The fatality rate is higher than Kerala. The fatality ration in Gujarat stands at 3.3%.

In Kerala till date 41,690 cases of Coronavirus recovery has been reported. When compared with total reported cases, the recovery rate in Kerala as of now stands at 64.8%.
Gujarat which has reported higher number of cases than Kerala has reported 72,408 cases of Coronavirus recovery. As of now the recovery rate in Gujarat stands at 80.3%.

Average growth rate is taken as the number of new infections in last one week that is from 19-26th August.
In last one week the cases in Kerala has grown by 4%. Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram and Alappuzha has registered the most number of cases till date.
In Gujarat the average growth rate of cases in last one week has been much lesser than Kerala. The cases in Gujarat has grown at a rate of 1.4%. Ahmedabad, Surat and Rajkot still remains the most affected district in the state.

In India since the day when Coronavirus sample tests increased, the daily number of cases also increased. However, it is very much suggested to carry out more tests to check the spread of virus.
Kerala with a population of just over 3.5 crore has carried out 15,25,792 sample tests till date. This brings the number to 43,439 tests per million of population.
Gujarat on the other hand with a population double than that of Kerala has carried out 19,69,724 tests till date. The total Coronavirus sample tests per million population in Gujarat stands at 28,994 which is lesser than what Kerala is carrying out.

Both Gujarat and Kerala have been successful in keeping the Coronavirus spread under check till date. However, the fight against the virus is far from over. It is utmost important for both the states to follow all the parameters required to check the virus spread in their respective states.
