Coronavirus Crisis In Delhi: The national capital has reported a high Coronavirus positivity rate, which is around 30%. It overtook Maharashtra in June. Delhi LG Anil Baijal ordered compulsory 7 days institutional quarantine for all the Coronavirus positive patients in National Capital.
New containment zones are emerging in the City. The City State has also ramped up its effort in controlling the coronavirus crisis. The testing rate has increased significantly, as a new Rapid antigen testing is implemented in the state. The cost for the test has also been capped to 2400/- now. Around 193 rapid antigen testing centers have been formed. The results can be given in less than half an hour. the huge surge in cases in Delhi can be due to the increased testing rate, as many were being left unreported when the tests conducted were lesser in number.
India is witnessing a major surge in the number of coronavirus cases in June. Every day the infection rate goes up, and around 14k cases are being reported each day. The total number of cases is nearing the 4-lakh mark. The number of recovered patients is however greater than the number of active cases in the country. Till date over 2 lakhs COVID19 patients have recovered. The total number of deaths due to the coronavirus stands at 12.9K.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus was shifted to a private hospital yesterday, as his condition deteriorated. He developed pneumonia, and the doctors found many pneumonia patches in his lungs. The Delhi Health Minister also was given oxygen support time to time as he was finding it difficult to breathe. He will be given plasma therapy at a private hospital. It is also reported that the health minister felt extremely fatigued and dizzy, as his condition started to worsen.
Several other members of the AAP have tested positive for the coronavirus, including Akshay Marathe, who is an advisor to AAP CM. Even CM Arvind Kejriwal got tested for the coronavirus, but the results came out negative.
States such as Kerala and Punjab have really low coronavirus positivity rate, and are model examples for the nation, as they managed to successfully flatten their coronavirus curve. Tamil Nadu has imposed a lock down in several districts, and in Chennai, to control the spread of the virus.
Increased testing and containment efforts will hopefully help the country in successfully fighting against the coronavirus.
