Coronavirus Testing In India : Coronavirus sample tests in India on Sunday crossed 2 crore mark. The total Coronavirus sample test in India as of 2nd August stands at 2,02,02,858. On Sunday, 3,81,027 tests were carried out. There has been rapid increase in number of sample tests in the country. However, the cases too are rising everyday.
On Sunday, 52,972 cases were reported in country taking the total Coronavirus tally to 1,803,695. A big relief is that only 5,80,293 cases are active out of the total reported cases while more than 11 lakh patients have already recovered till date.
Coronavirus Testing In India: Which states are conducting maximum tests?
As of now, Tamil Nadu has conducted the highest number of sample test in the country. The total tests carried out the Tamil Nadu till date stands at 27,79,062. Tamil Nadu is followed by Uttar Pradesh which has started conducting 1 lakh daily sample tests since last week. On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh carried out 1,14,822 sample tests taking the total number of tests conducted in the state to 25,33,631. Maharashtra which has reported highest number of Coronavirus cases in the country till date has conducted 22,60,160 sample test as of 2nd of August.
The total coronavirus cases in India stands at 18,08,118 as of now. 38,201 deaths due to coronavirus have been reported in the country as of now.
On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah tested positive for Coronavirus. Not just Amit Shah, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram also tested positive for Coronavirus. On Sunday, minister in Uttar Pradesh cabinet, Kamal Rani lost her fight against Coronavirus.
The coronavirus situation in country is not at all encouraging. However, the recovery rate in India which stands at 65.5% brings a sigh of relief. Moreover, the fatality rate in India dropped further to 2.13%. We can expect that soon India will be able to control the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
