Daily Coronavirus Update : India Records Highest Number of Daily Cases in World
Daily Coronavirus Update : Coronavirus cases in India are rising steeply. With increasing number of tests, the daily Coronavirus positive numbers are also rising. On 2nd August, India registered 52,972 positive cases of Coronavirus. USA which was registering the highest daily number of cases saw a lower number yesterday. USA reported 47,335 cases while Brazil reported 25,800 cases.
As of now, USA has reported the most number of Coronavirus cases in the world. Till date USA has reported 4,814,440 coronavirus positive cases. Out of the total reported cases, 2,380,561 have recovered and 2,275,504 are still active. USA has reported 158,375 deaths related to Coronavirus.
Brazil on other hand which the 2nd most affected country in the world due to Coronavirus has reported 2,733,677 cases till date. 1,884,051 have already recovered while 755,496 cases are still active in Brazil. Brazil has so far reported 94,130 deaths due to coronavirus. India on other hand which is the third most affected country in the world due to Coronavirus has 1,812,770 registered cases as of now. India has one of the world’s highest recovery rate of 65%. Till date 1,190,736 have recovered and 583,785 cases are still active. With just over 2% fatality rate India has reported 38,249 deaths till date due to Coronavirus.
On Monday, World Health Organisation Chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom warned the world that there may never be a vaccine for Coronavirus. In his virtual press conference he said, “A number of vaccines are now in phase three clinical trials and we all hope to have a number of effective vaccines that can help prevent people from infection. However, there’s no silver bullet at the moment – and there might never be.”

With 18,278,448 cases around the globe and already 693,713 deaths, world is anxiously waiting for a Coronavirus vaccine. At present as per the vaccine status, 6 vaccines have already entered the final phase of trial. The most important one is that Russia is hoping to launch its vaccine for use of public by this month. At the time when there is no vaccine, WHO urged governments and citizens to focus on testing, contact tracing, maintaining physical distance and wearing a mask in order to suppress the pandemic.
