For the 1st test match at Chepak, five pitches have been prepared. All the pitches have a decent amount of grass on it. The team management will pick one of the five pitches for the upcoming 1st test match.
The last test match that was played at MA Chidamabaram Stadium was between India and England. It was in December 2016. The match was a very high scoring one. 1443 runs were scored in total and 27 wickets fell. India defeated England by an inning and 75 runs.
