Is Modi’s Self-Reliant a Push for Boycott China Policy?

The prime minister in his fifth special address to the nation put forward and affirmed that the five pillars of a self-reliant India are- economy, infrastructure, demand, technology-driven arrangements, and a vibrant demography. While explaining the five pillars, Prime minister mentioned that the economy does not need a mere change, but rather a quantum jump!

CORONAVIRUS is believed to be with the country for a long haul, but it is imperative that we do not let our lives revolve around the virus. It is a golden opportunity for India to become self reliant. The five pillars put forward by our Prime minister to achieve a state of self reliance are of utmost significance.

“In this hour of crisis, local suppliers have met our demands; Indians have to be ‘vocal about local’ and buy products from them,” said the PM.

The prime minister also announced a 20-lakh crore package as a step towards self reliance. The package makes up of 10% of the GDP of the country. Special economic package benefits our labourers, farmers, honest taxpayers, MSMEs and cottage industry, as per the Prime minister. The package is specifically meant to make India self-reliant. Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured nation of turning the pandemic in to an opportunity and create a path for rise of New Self Reliant India. The details of the package will be revealed by Finance Minster in coming days.

Phase 4.0 of lockdown to have a new set of rules and will be given by 18 May 2020. It will be different from the previous lockdown phases ad India is now highly focused on refuelling the economy, while protecting itself and it’s medical and health system.

The Prime minister’s address to the nation comes with hope, determination and motivation for the nation, acting as a bright light amidst the darkness that surrounds in the name of a global pandemic.
