Pierre Poilievre Approval Rating: Read on for the new Conservative Leader’s approval rating and the latest poll.

The elevation of Pierre Poilievre has turned out to be advantageous for the Conservative Party. The Conservative Party has been trying to displace the Trudeau government and form their government. However, in order to do so the Conservative Party has been struggling to find a face who could lead them to victory.

In September 2022, Pierre Poilivre officially became the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. He has been the Member of the Parliament for the Ottawa riding of Carleton (formerly Nepean-Carleton) since 2004. He was the youngest MP in Parliament at the age of 25.

The next Canadian election is scheduled for 2025.

Previous Opposition leaders (His predecessors) around the same time in their respective tenures were viewed more favorably. Stephen Harper enjoyed the majority (52%) of favorable sentiment during his time at Stornoway. While Poilievre is viewed negatively (54%) by double the percentage of people having a negative view of Harper (26%) around the same time. While both Scheer and O’Toole were disapproved by 34% and 42% of the public around the same early honeymoon period of their leadership.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is viewed positively by 42 percent of respondents, up five points since the last survey.

There is an evident growing gender divide when it comes to supporting the two leaders, as Trudeau enjoys high support among women and his counterpart Poilievre among men. Trudeau’s favorability is at 50% (amongst women) and 35% (amongst men). While Poilevre’s favourability is at 23% (amongst women) and 44% (amongst men).

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh was viewed more favorably as compared to both Trudeau and Poilievre with 47% of those polled having a favorable or very favorable impression of his leadership.

To attract middle-class Canadian voters, Mr. Poilievre will have to offer credible strategic solutions to the country’s rising cost of living, the healthcare crisis, and continued reliance on natural resources in the climate change era.

Mr. Poilievre loves to say Canada “feels broken,” which does resonate with young non-conservative Canadians. However, to win their vote the CPC leader will have to show that he is capable of mending the system.
