Three Assam Rifles Soldiers Martyred : At least three Assam Rifles Soldiers were martyred near India-Myanmar border on Wednesday night. The incident happened when a group of 15 Indian soldiers were returning after patrolling at Khongtal in Chandel.
As quoted by ANI the terrorists first carried out an IED blast and then fired at the troops. Three personnel from 4 Assam Rifles unit lost their lives and four were injured in an ambush by terrorists from the local group People’s Liberation Army.
Reinforcements have been rushed to the area which is 100 km from Imphal. Injured have been taken to local military hospital.
Recently Myanmar made a claim that China was arming the terrorist groups with sophisticated weapons along India-Myanmar border. It must be remember that Myanmar is one of the closest ally of China and it is unusual of Myanmar pointing fingers on China.
More information about the attack is awaited. No local terrorist organisation have taken the responsibility of the attack.
