Another poll place DeSantis’s approval rating at 59% with 37% disapproving of his performance
Observation and Insights
Governor DeSantis is well placed to return as Governor of Florida
- Firstly, DeSantis enjoys extremely high approval ratings making it difficult for any Democrat to beat him on performance
- Florida voted Republican during the 2020 election in spite of a Nationwide swing towards Democrats. This makes it an even more difficult election to win for the Democrats
- Lastly, with Joe Biden’s popularity tanking, Democrats are at a triple disadvantage
Former Republican Charlie Crist is likely to be the Democratic party candidate in November. Crist was Governor of Florida between 2007 and 2011 as a Republican. In 2014, he lost the Florida gubernatorial election to Governor Rick Scott.
